I decided to join along with Camille and Carrie and show my first quilt and most recent quilt. My first quilt was made from a Quilt in a Day book. I’ve always been a sewer and crafter, but when I made this, I didn’t have any experience with quilting. I learned how to use a rotary cutter, how to press in the right direction to have “locking” seams and I learned how to strip piece. All very important lessons for a quilter!
Sadly, the quilt never got borders and hasn’t ever made it to the quilters – someday maybe.
And here is my most recent (at least most recent completed quilt – several are in progress!) It is called Sweet and Simple Garden and will be available as soon as I get the pattern written!
Let’s see your first and most recent quilts!
Thanks for stopping by,
Wow, I am impressed…sounds like you did all the right things from the start. My first quilt was using scissors and PLAIDS! What was I thinking? Your newest quilt is lovely! so very lovely. Waiting for the pattern.

Quite ambitious for your first quilt, Denise - and it's gorgeous! You owe it to yourself to get it quilted and displayed! And now look where you are - you have truly found your niche!
Cheers!
